very even stillness (painted beech A)
The A shape is in a phase of partial eclipse. It hangs as the fifth in a composition consisting of seven mirrors. They form an arc that can be associated with the phases of the moon moving across the sky. The mirror can be treated as a stand-alone object or as part of a larger whole when combined with other elements from the series.
A specially designed hanger allows the mirror to be hung in six different positions. In each position, the mirror faces a different direction, reflecting different elements of the surroundings. The fun lies in the decision-making process, in trying to choose one of the many options.
Beech wood hand-painted in PANTONE® 2293 U and PANTONE® 360 C, coated with linseed oil, acid-resistant stainless steel polished to a mirror finish.
